After earning a degree in Speech Communications, and a reputation as one of the Atlantic Coast Conference’s toughest offensive lineman, Andy graduated from the University of North Carolina in 1992.
He spent the next four years as a record-setting salesman and sales manager in the Charlotte branch of Atcom Business Telephone Systems before founding Tegra Telephone Systems in 1996. Within eight months of starting Tegra from scratch, the company attained President's Club honors from Comdial Corporation. Over the next three years, Tegra was consistently among the top five Comdial Dealers in overall sales volume; and Andy earned a reputation as one of the best sales and marketing minds in the telecommunications industry.
In 1999, Andy was named one of Charlotte's 40 under 40 - a list of up-and-coming business stars. Andy achieved this honor while under the age of 30! Seeking the next challenge, Andy sold Tegra and began a career as a professional speaker and sales trainer, while at the same time helping world-renown speaker Jeffrey Gitomer launch a web-based sales training company, TrainOne. In addition to speaking, Andy has been a partner in several other business ventures, and is currently the owner of THE SEALS and is commercial real estate broker with Coldwell Banker Commercial MECA.
He will be speaking about his use of cloud-computing to build his newest business venture & the importance of having a positive attitude.
